  • Challenging repair
Involved taking apart the whole engine. Needed gear puller to take off the fly wheel. Bearings and oil seals fit perfectly. Got the machine back together again after several hours. Took lots of notes as I went along!!

I had already torn the engine apart to diagnose the issue. Watched the video from this site how to install the new bearings and followed the directions to a T. Went very easy and had it back together in no time. Trimmer is running again like it never had any issues.

crankshaft bearing were shot on my 1995 echo weed trimmer. had to tear the whole engine apart to get to the bearings and i also replaced the piston ring and all the gaskets while i was doing it. now it fires right up and doesn't stall out because I have eliminated the heavy vibration from the wore out bearings.
YouTube had a great video on replacing the crankshaft bearings on the trimmer
