This bail arm guide is a genuine OEM replacement part used in spinning reels. It is a 0.75-inch-long plastic pin that is found near the bail arm. The guide is responsible for preventing the line from getting tangled, damaged or caught between the spool and the equipment. Over time the bail arm guide may break, become dislodged, or wear down causing the line to tangle or break during use. To begin the repair, detach the rotor cover to access the bail arm guide. Remove the bail arm cover, screw, and bail arm spring. Carefully remove the faulty bail arm guide and set it aside. Position the new bail arm guide in the rotor assembly and reattach the spring, bail arm cover, and mounting screw. Finally, reattach the rotor cover and test the equipment for functionality.
