Product Description ?

This genuine OEM sourced replacement part is specially produced for use with Milwaukee electric drills. The armature is the central component within a tools electric motor. It is composed of a steel shaft, copper windings, and a series of commutator bars through which the carbon brushes transfer electricity. Due to constant contact with carbon brushes armature will eventually wear out and would need to be replaced to maintain peak performance. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing an armature. Please note this high-quality component is sold individually.

This is a large Milwaukee drill motor used in concrete core drills, heavy duty mag drills, etc. After drill motor is removed from unit, motor housing is separated from gear box. Brush covers and brushes are then removed. Armature can then be removed with bearings. End cap (w/ cord restraint) is then removed to allow access to field terminals. Field is mounted with two long screws. Field housing is a tight fit and must be carefully driven out to route wires to power and brush terminals. Note position relative to casing, as well as wire routing. Reverse to install.
Ereplacementparts was a GREAT resource for this repair ( replacement motor is @$700, repair was @$200, complete drill over $2000). Repaired two drills now. GREAT people to deal with.
