"This is an air filter for a chainsaw. If your chainsaw stalls or runs rough, check the filter to see if it is clogged or damaged. If the performance of the chainsaw does not improve after cleaning it or if it is damaged in any way, it will need to be replaced immediately. If large pieces of debris reach the engine, it can cause serious damage to the engine.
To remove the old filter, disengage the hood clips with the combination tool and remove the hood. Push up the combination switch and put it into the choke position so debris cannot get into the carburetor. Turn the air filter lock counterclockwise to access the air filter. Be sure to cover the intake opening with a clean cloth to stop any debris from entering the carburetor. When inserting the new filter, place it into position and make sure it is seated evenly. Turn the air filter lock clockwise to tighten. Push down the combination switch and press the throttle all the way down to disengage the throttle lock.
