This is an authentic item that is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for Whirlpool Washing machines. The agitator repair kit is needed when the upper part of the agitator is not moving properly, but the bottom part is. The kit includes Agitator Cam, thrust washer, spacer, dust cap seal, agitator bolt seal and 4 agitator dogs. Tools needed to replace the agitator are a Flat head screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, 7/16" socket with ratchet and 10" extension.

Pulled off cap and removed bolt holding agitator on. Pulled up agitator and removed old pieces. Replaced with new pieces and reinstalled.

1. Unscrew the cap on top of agitator
2. Pull out plug.
3. Loosen bolt with socket.
4. Lift out the entire agitator.
5. Remove broken agitator and replace.
6. Reassemble

The four cams that drive the upper agitator completely disentigrated.

1. removed the upper cap and o-ring.
2. using a 7/16 socket and extension, removed the bolt securing the agitator assembly to the drive shaft.
3. removed all broken parts, installed new parts from supplied kit.
4. reinstalled the agitator assembly and bolt. Replaced cap with new o-ring.
5. job complete.
