Reply: Replace The Impeller
The impeller is threaded to the motor shaft. There should be a better way, but I removed the motor assy after disconnecting the two electrical plugs. While the impeller is attached you must hold the exposed shaft from the bearing end. I first tried pliers, but resorted to small vise grips (had to use sandpaper to smooth back). Tip: Use an 8MM bottom tap to clean the inside threads on the new impeller before installing. The mfg should have put square spot on the end of the motor shaft to be able to hold with a 3/16" wrench.
Question: Motor Pads
During disassembly to replace a burned out electric connector the motor pads fell out and I can't figure out exactly where they go. The parts diagram lists them as obsolete. Do I just ignore them and leave them out or is there a newer version?
thanks for your help;
