Where’s My Yard Man Model Number?
Finding your Yard Man model number can be a little tricky. So we’ve put together some tips on where to find it and what to look for. The best place to look is in the owner’s manual that came with your Yard Man. If you lost your owner’s manual years ago, you can still find it listed directly on your unit, on a identification sticker. This sticker is about 2” x 3” and can be found in an area of your product that’s free from wear. Look for this tag under the seat, housing, deck, main-gear housing, or on the frame. It will have the MTD/Yard Man logo at the top.
Once you find this label you’ll want to identify your model number, which is 11 digits long. Yard Man uses specialized prefixes for different types of models. You can find each prefix separated by model type below:
11 - Walk-behind push mower
12 - Walk-behind self-propelled mower
13 - Riding lawn tractor
14 - Riding garden tractor
15 - Commercial zero-turn rider
18 - Electric walk-behind mower
21 - Garden tiller
24 - Chipper/blower-vac/log splitter
25 - Edger/trimmer mower
31 - Snow thrower
41 or 42 - Handheld products (string trimmer, chain saw etc.)
55 - Commercial walk-behind
