Question: Trimmer Line Problem

geosap

continuous feeding out of line. Is it a clutch problem?

Hello geosap,

I would think that there is a part in your 952711602 spool that is causing your problem. Replace it and you should be back to work.

Hope this helps,

Question: Need Now Edging Guide

Kennyk

Due to extensive use and rubbing on concrete, my edging guide wore through and flaps around. Very annoying because it catches on anything in its way. Problem is I can't figure out how to change it. Can't get the shield off. Any suggestions? Need to find a Weed Eater repair site. It's a Weed Eater RTE115c trimmer.

Hello deveene,

Refilling the spool with line

Use only 0.065 inch
(1.65 mm) diameter round line.
Other sizes
and shapes of line will not advance properly
and will result in improper cutting head func-
tion or can cause serious injury.

1. Cut a length of 25 feet of 0.065 inch (1.65
mm) diameter round line. Feed line in direction shown on spool.
2. Insert one end of line into center cavity of
empty spool. Ensure line will feed into
spool in the direction shown on the spool
(counterclockwise).
3. Continue feeding line into spool, leaving
4 -- 6 inches (10 -- 15 cm) unwound from
center of spool.
INSTALLING SPOOL WITH LINE
1. Install replacement spool.
2. Thread line through line guide ring.

Replacement Spool Slot
3. Rest guide ring on spool and place line in
slot. Allow line to extend 4-- 6inches (10--
15 cm) from center of spool.
4. Ensure line remains in slot while screwing
cap on to the shaft. Only tighten cap hand tight

How do I replace the Round Trimmer Line on the spool?
Robert
Question: Switches Going Out

Robert

While I was using my weedeater, everything was working fine. I let go of the switch to stop & untangle a little cord and when I tried to start again, I had nothing. I ran all of the usual tests on the outlet & cord and they were working fine. Is my problem my switch like I am thinking and do they go out just that quick?

It could be the brushes on the motor. I had mine a short time and the wire on the brush broke off the carbon brush. I am now looking for where I can get the brush.

How do i put the fuel line back in?
Less than three months since purchase, the motor housing wobbles significantly. Am afraid it will soon malfunction completely. Would never purchase again. Also having difficulty locating a replacement line.

Mine started a little vibration wobble, but it worked fine for about 6 years and finally had to be replaced. I live in Georgia. Replacement line is at any Wal-Mart store. I purchased my second one after the first one went out and I've had this one for 2 years now. So I'd say for the low low price it's okay.
