Shield over cutting string cracked.
Simple screw off old and screw on new. Make sure to line up the diagonal cutout on shield with diagonal spur on housing then twist in direction that results in shield facing back toward user when holding the Weed Easter.

Question: Overheating?

Ladonna

Is it possible for an electric weed eater overheat and then die? My Weed Eater RT112 died. Is there a fuse somewhere? It didn't smell hot or start working sluggish, maybe a little slower. Is the motor shot? A switch would be a cheap fix but it hardly seems like the problem.

Question: Respool Line

Mike B

How do I remove the spool? I line up the arrows pressing down and tune counter clock ways and it still wont come off. What am I doing wrong?
