Plastic trimmer head wore out after several years of reliable service.
Align hole in dust cup with hole in the center front of the gear box by turning dust cup. Insert the 5/16\" hex key into the hole in the aligned holes, through the notch in the front of the grass shield, to keep shaft from turning. (A small pin punch might also work, or possibly even a nail.) Unthread the trimmer head. Reverse the process to install the new trimmer head.

Question: Lubricant For Line Head

Tim Marcus

What lubricant do I use for Line Head?
Jonathan
Question: Fuel Lines

Jonathan

I would like to Know how the fuel lines go from the tank to the primer assembly to the carb, and also how many turns of the screws with springs on the carb before being to much or not enough for it to be just right on my gtI19t model weedeater, Thanks.

The small line from the tank is the supply line attach filter to it, it goes to bottom tube on carb.
The large line from tank is return line, it goes to large fitting on primer.
Small line primer goes to top tube on carb; be sure not to have too small of a gas line from primer to carb. it will crimp shut.

I need a description or diagram of where to connect all the fuel lines. I have replaced all the lines and can't remember where they go. DUH.

Reply: Fuel Hose Layout

I am trying to change the gas lines and primer and gas line filter on my weedeater. I am totally confused. When replacing the hoses back on the primer. I need to be sure that I am replacing the hoses properly. Is one of the hoses suppose to extend to the bottom of the gas tank? Is that the hose the filter is on? If I could get a diagram that would assure me how to hook this hose properly I would thank you so much.
Sincerely, Covie Boggs

Question: Fuel Supply Lines

Dave A.

When replacing fuel supply lines the original part appears to be smaller diameter and restricted as it enters the fuel tank. How much fuel line needs to be in the tank and how much return line needs to be in the tank?

I've had this weed eater trimmer for over 15 yrs. I've done some repairs, but it works great. Changed the string spool for double line. It does a great job on my weeds and trimming.
