Hi perchville,

We have an article and video that will show you how to figure out the proper fuel line routing of any 2-cycle engine. You can view it at the following link...

I hope this helps,

Review: Troy-Bilt - TB90BC Frustrated

I Bought the Model TB90BC Last season I had a very hard time starting it the first time. After finally getting it started I ran one tank of gas through it. On the second tank after finally getting it started I was not able to accelerate past an idle, it died every time. I tried it again this year and it did the same thing. I am totally fed up with it and would never recommend one of these to anyone.

If the gas got old inside the machine, it probably clogged the orifices and dried up the diaphragms. Pull it off, take it apart and clean the whole thing with warm water and soap, after blow dry with the air compressor. Replace everything you get with the rebuild kit, should start right up. I have the same problem, I cannot find the rebuild kit though! I suggest you get a soccer ball/basket/football air attachment, it is needle thin, allows air through with the compressor nozzle, fits beautifully inside the orifices and helps you pinpoint the spots that need to be cleared.

When you are going to store your 2 cycle gas machines for any extended time, you must use a fuel stabilizer like STAY-FILL. It will end clogging fuel problems next time.

I think matteo is right. Ethanol was recently added to gas almost everywhere and it attacks rubber parts not designed to be used with it. Both my neighbor and I have TB90Bcs with the same problem. The diaphrgam in the carb is probably shot. Unfortunately, the only solution I've found is to buy a new carb, to the tune of $60-70 plus shipping. For many trimmers, they offer carb rebuild kits, but the websites I've found don't offer one for this machine. I'd like to find a way to make my own diaphragm like you used to do with gaskets.
