Question: Troy-bilt TB525CS Starting Issue...
I have a Troy-Bilt TB525CS that seems to be not turning the engine over in a 1:1 ratio with the pull of the rope. I have a terrible time getting it started. It runs fine once it does get started, so I am thinking he fuel system is OK.

These trimmers have a spring assist when pulling the starter rope making it much easier to pull. Make sure the valves are adjusted correctly and see if that helps.
Question: Troy-Bilt Clutch Bad
How do you know if the clutch is bad on a troy-bilt 4-cycle trimmer?. I let someone borrow it and I have not started it since last year and I was tuning it up when I noticed the spool won't turn when the trigger is increased. I took it all a-part and the clutch seems real loose. I have not taken it off yet.

Probably a broken flex shaft in the drive shaft housing. The clutch should be loose until the engine is reved up.
