Question: Squeaking Mower
My Troybilt mower is making an awful squeaking noise around the rear axle when it is placed in drive. I put some belt dressing on the drive belt hoping that would help...It did not. I see that there are two bearing assemblies on the axle. Do these typically go bad after two seasons of use.
Reply: Squeaking Mower
I had the same problem with my mower. All I did was take the rear wheel outer dust covers off, remove the rear wheels then lube the rear axle and drive gears. It worked like a charm for me. Hopefully it works for you too.
