Question: Tro-Bilt Battery Charger

I am ready to order a battery charger for my late husband's Troy-bilt self-propelled lawn mower.
This has a 12V battery which operates the direct start key. Unfortuately, my husband passed away and I cannot locate the battery charger for the 12V battery. Prior to ordering a replacement for $38.00, does anyone know if I can use another brand of charger for this battery? I hate to waste the money for parts and shipping if I am able to
substitute something less expensive available here. The part # is 725-04329.

Hello Sheryl,

I would stick to the charger that the manufacture calls out for. Otherwise using another style of charger may damage the mower and then you would have more problems to deal with.
