In addition to the normal.process of replacing the belt, I found the worm gear needed cleaning and lubrication, which was the root cause of the situation, which caused difficulty in raising and lowering the blade, thus causing the belt to break.

I followed the instructions that was on the timing belt purchase page. I printed them out & used in my shop. Whoever wrote the instructions made it confusing at first calling a bolt a nut on the pivot assembly. I had to read it a couple times before I saw it meant bolt. There is a philips head screw at the end of the shaft you have to rem ove to pull the shaft out. IMPORTANT: when you remove the pivot assembly bolt there is a spacer hidden behind it, mine fell down in the saw dust luckily I heard it hit or I may never would have gotten it assembled properly. It\'s a bit tricky when you install the bolt & spacer, mine fell in the saw dust a second time. Saw is back in great working order now.

Repair generally went well. However, I needed to remove bottom pulley and set screws were very difficult to get at and they were also very small in size, allowing little force to be placed on allen wrench to remove the 2 set screws.

I have instructions that came with the saw, however it still takes about 45 minutes. Not too difficult, but time consuming. To complete the repair after putting the belt on, it needs to be adjusted to the right amount of tension. It works good!
