This is an original MTD replacement part. The steering wheel cap is designed by the manufacturer for use on lawn tractors. This part is made of high-quality plastic, and is used to cover the center of the steering wheel. When replacing this item, you may require a flat-head screwdriver to pry the old part loose. The new part can then be snapped into place. This part is sold individually.

Steering on lawn tractor would not turn the wheels

Started out removing steering shaft then the gear assembly and retainer plate then put the new parts back same order that was removed ending with greasing all parts fit perfect steers like new again
