Can I take the 911609 speed control out of the circuit and just run this at full speed 100 % of the time without damaging the dc motor???

Question: 31-250 Delta Drum Sander

1291243

The speed controller needs to be replaced, I ordered and received a new part, however, it is a different type. Mine is round, the new one is square, the wires hook up differently. It appears the round type is unavailable so I will need a wiring diagram or pictures of how the wires are connected, there are 4 wires. The part number is 911609, item 150 on the IPB. Any help would be great.
