Hay does anybody know where I can get suggested repair times for shindaiwa machines
ie; piston replacement ? chutch replacement ?
carb rebuild ? throttle cable? & on&on&on

Question: Carb Swap Out

How hard is it to swap carbs on the T242 model? Anything tricky to it? My initial carb went bad only after 2 yrs and less than 30 hours.

Hi JRB,

Very easy to do. Start by removing the air cleaner cover and the filter. Now label the fuel lines on the carb so you will know where they go when you replace the carb. Remove the fuel lines. Remove the two bolts that go through the air filter base and through the carburetor. Now remove the throttle cable from the carburetor. Install the new carb in the reverse order.
