Description:
| This is an authentic OEM supplied replacement kit made for use with snow blowers/throwers. This shear bolt is designed to secure the auger assembly to the transmission axle shaft. It is a safety feature on your snowblower. If the auger gets stock or jammed the way this shear bolt is designed it would snap/break in order to prevent damage to the unit. This kit includes one (1) metal bolt and one (1) lock nut. You would need a wrench in order to complete this repair. |

Shear bolt sheared
Inserted new shear bolt through impeller and axle, started locknut on bolt and tightened with ratcheting wrench on the nut and box wrench on bolt head.

Sheer pin needed replacing, just inserted and tightened
Only replaced sheer pin, while in hospital in January/2016, nephew managed to get something into auger,,,,,, breaking both sheer pins, only had one extra,,,,,, belts still work, only put pins in, will replace belts at later date,,,,
Time will tell on the belts,,,, owerns manual , it looks easy,,,,,lol

Shear pin replacement
Using punch to align outer blades to the inner shaft by inserting through holes. Once aligned carefully removed punch.
Inserted shear pin installed nut and tightened. Done
