I have a unit which has unequal drag on the rear wheels when not under power and an action during 180 deg turns which I would describe as difficult to handle because the differential action creates an acceleration effect during the turn. The unequal and excessive drag suggests transmission or differential problems

Hello 1152179,

Yes over charging a battery can cause heat to build up in the battery, which can damage the internal parts of it. I would look at your owners manual to see what the recommended charging time for the battery is.

Have two battery assy go bad in 3 years. Methinks it was the charger, it didn't turn green when it was supposed to.

Battery overcharged, leaked and overheated. The batteries were actually misshapen. Now I have two battery boxes.

So, I rigged them up using smaller batteries that can be bought off ebay. Charge doesn't last as long but, I have two :)

Yes you have a problem and an even bigger one if you don't remove the battery assembly and find out what has caused the battery to leak.SLA batteries have corrosive acid and can damage your electrical parts.If your battery assembly is over a couple of years old it might be a good time to consider replacing them.
