Hello billwilke,

Unfortunately like most manufactures. They don't give us the specs on most of their nut and bolt in most cases.

Question: Table Insert For Dado Blade

montereyredfox

I bought a dado blade but the table insert (part #608402000) is too narrow for the blade. Is there an alternative table insert that will accommodate a dado blade?

Question: Fence Clamp

My tablesaw doesn't have this. It has a medal piece that goes around the Recess Roll and the handle screws into it. Why doesn't the diagram show this part?

Grimm - curious if you were able to locate the metal piece that goes around the roller? My fence has the same and that piece is broken.

Thanks

Hello ChrisW,

I pulled a complete 608A05040 Fence Assembly
and compared it to the fence parts diagram for the BTS15 on page J. Every part on the diagram is on the fence. I cannot see any other parts that are on the fence other than what is on the diagram. You may want to look at some of the pages of the parts diagram. It may be on one of them.

WJA - thanks for the update. My hunch is Ryobi redesigned the fence assy sometime after mine was manufactured. I bought a new eccentric roller from you recently, however it is too small in diameter. My fence assy definately has a ring that the roller and handle fit into. The original roller is NOT threaded to accept the handle.

My saw is ~10 years old; S/N: N042160921. I am guessing the 04 indicates my saw was built in 2004.

Is my only option to purchase a whole new fence assy? I have a picture of the broken ring and the original roller I can send if it might help with other options.

Thanks!

Question: Reassembly

adogg_26

so i've been having all sorts of problems with my blade nut and flange loosening while i have the saw on. It started the other day and has only gotten worse. The motor has been louder than usual so i decided to disassemble the motor to see if i could detect any signs of damage and now i'm havin g problems getting the bearings in place that sit between the armature and the o ring. any suggestions on what's the best method of assembly is, and if you have any suggestions as to why my blade nut and flange are looseing, I know i am tightening it up enough? I fear i may have to replace the motor, any insights??

My blade raising/lowering crank sometimes binds. Grip the outside knurled knob of the crank, which is used to alter the angle, and hold it steady with one hand while winding the crank with the other. That may solve your problem. Try some WD-40 if it doesn't work the first time.

Question: Motor

Daryl

Is it possible to buy an entire motor? I think I've killed mine, and would like to get a slightly stronger motor if possible.

Hi Daryl,

Unfortunately the motor is not available as an assembly. However you should be able to repair your motor with just a few parts. You will need to replace the armature (Part #9053D01000) and the field (Part #9150A02000) Make sure that the motor housing (Part #511304000) was not damaged by heat. Last, you will need new motor brushes (Part #976683001).

That should get you running again!

Just a quick response to the last two posts: We did some further research, and the fence is available as an assembly. The part number is: 608A05040. The figure number is J800. Hope this helps!

Bought a 10" table saw model BTS15_ rip fence broke about 2 years ago. Trying to purchase a new rip fence is imposable. Your diagram has the wrong numbers for parts plus a just want to buy the whole product not parts

Same as the above, I bought the BTS15 model. The rip fence on my saw as broken twice, once while it as under warranty. The second time it as not. I called Ryobi about buying a replacement. They said there was nothing they could do. I also had one of the wrenches broke when I tried removing the nut from the blade. When called them and told about the wrench, their records show that the saw was no longer under warranty. I asked them if they had a wrench in stock and how much it would cost. They told me there was nothing they could do and they hung-up the phone.
