I know at one Delta had a cool block that was made out of a composite type material that would fit your saw, but they have been discontinued. And the Ryobi guides a made of metal. Here is a link to a company that might be able to help you with the style of blocks you need.
When I turn on the switch, the saw just hums. If I open the side door and start the blade going first then it will go. It was working great until just today, then it started this.
That sounds like either a bad starter winding in the motor or a bad starter capacitor. A motor shop could check the motor for you. If it has a capacitor and it is bad the motor shop can likely fix it. If it is in the windings the motor will need to be replaced. The motor is part #900984000.
