After running for about 90 minutes, the plastic blade guard ripped off from the screws. It was as if it was "old plastic". I have most of the pieces....is there any warranty on this product?
You may want to contact the place of purchase, or a link removed Authorized Service Center in your area and explain to them what happened. Hopefully they will take care of you.
My trimmer will some times run if I leave it on partial choke. If I put in on no choke it stops and is hard to restart. Do you think the carburetor repair kit will fix problem? It acts like it runs out of gas.
On My Muffler this Bottom Port is Melted off, what would be the Cause of that?
Which in turn melted a Hole through the Bottom of my Carb/Air Clnr Housing assembly.
I have a USA 700r trimer, when it runs it won't idle and when I turn it off gas leaks out of the carb. Any suggestions? Would this be a fuel line thing? Thanks!
At what 2 points does the recoil spring attach to? I know the inter lip attaches it self to the pulley retainer assembly, but I am not sure where the outer lip attaches to.
I have a Ryobi 770r trimmer. The priming bulb does not seem to be sending gas to the carburetor and/or I am getting no spark as the trimmer is not firing at all.
The carb adjustment screws are part of the carburetor. The carburetor is only offered as a complete assembly. The carb is part #791-182875 and is available from http://www.ereplacementparts.com.
Hi suzi! Yes both lines are the same diameter, however the pick up line has a fuel filter on the end of it and is a different length than the return line. You can order everything you need from eReplacementParts.com : Power Tool Parts and Tool Repair! The part numbers are 791-181086 for the return line, and 791-682039 for the fuel line!
Hey loren,
sorry for the late response..make sure you have the correct mixture of gas..[new]
check to see if the muffler is plugged..[sometimes a bad oil/gas mix will plug the exhaust muffler over time] also check your plug..:)
hope this is helpful..?

It's actually Minnesota. Sorry, I've got OCD about spelling........
Recoil pulley wares out to fast, and trying to get the recoil spring back in side is near impossible. who ever designed that should be shot. Now the coil/moudule assembly is bad and costs too much to replace. Just spent $19.00 for pulley now I'll have to junk it.
i purchased ryobi weed trimmer (model #700r) on sale about 6 yrs. ago. at 1st i wasn't sure of how it was going too meet my need as far as the size(31cc). well i 'm still quite pleased with the trimmer. my only compliant is rewinding the line.i buy a spool because it's more economical for me. it always seems i have too take off the spool and rewind at least once before it runs out.
