Question: Ryobi Battery Trimmer
I think I need the inner reel, but I'm not sure. The only thing that needs replaced is the button you hit to feed the string out. Is this the right part? Thanks for your help.

You are right. The part you are looking for is part number 791-180292B.
I have had my 150r for over 10 years and overall a good product. Now about every other year, it starts shorting out when the motor warms up. I have replaced the switch and had some success with this problem. Now have replaced the switch and it is still intermittently running. Is this a motor replacement?
Question: Name That Part
I don't know what part to order for my Ryobi 150r. The part that is broken is the little box that protrudes to the outside and connects with the charger. There's no part number on the diagram for this, so I assume it's part of another assembly. But I can't tell which to order. Suggestions?

Hi Louie, I believe what you are describing is the connector where the charger plugs into the handle? If so it is part of the wiring harness, part# 791-180362 and is available from http://www.ereplacementparts.com. Good luck with your repair! -Mark
Question: Ryobi 150r Electric Trimmer
I seem to be going through one manual switch for this unit every season....thought it was maybe the motor, because it only starts running intermittently after it gets warmed. However, I have replaced the motor with another exact unit's motor that I bought used. The same problem exists, so it is not the motor.
Am I missing something here? I can't believe that the switch on these units only have a useful life of just a few hours. PLEASE HELP!!! Anything!

try checking the power cord that runs from the switch to the motor, maybe that has a short intermittingly.
