Question: Drive Mechanism Parts
The connection where my lower head units' shaft cable inserts into the upper unit's is rounded out. I need to replace this upper part which is somewhat spring-loaded into the motor assembly about a foot away, but don't know exactly what part to order (Upper Drive Shaft??). The part in question's lower portion is a female metallic cylinder, with a square hole in the middle of it to accept the male end of the lower unit's cable drive (Flexible Drive Shaft??). Without a schematic to go by, I'm not certain exactly what part to order. Is this something that I can replace by myself, or should I use an authorized repair facility? Any suggestions?
