my compresser won't start up. It wants to, it almost does. It seems like it needs a jolt to get it going. I think it might be the motor run capacitor. Could that be the problem.

Yes, generally it the starter capacitor thats bad.I'd try that first.Good luck.

My compressor won't turn on at all. It started in the winter. Then would occasionally start with some pressure on the starter cover. Now nothing.

My compressor starts running slow them runs normal. It pressurizes properly the first time but the next time it just shakes and turns off. I need to drain the tanks of pressure to get it to pressurize again.

My compressor has trouble reaching the 125 PSI. level at times it stays hovering at 35psi and continues to run.could it be the pressure switch? or is the rings gone? thanks

That sounds like wear on the piston and cylinder. You will need to replace both the cylinder and the piston to repair your compressor.
