I've got a BS14002 with a third broken upper hinge/axel block, parts are backordered no release date at this time. i need my saw does anybody know if a Jet or FoxSmith block or parts will work? or any other items that will get this saw working again?
new to bandsawing ,tried a 5/8 resaw Olsen bade they said ok for 14" rigid 1400 and broke the hindge part right off while trying to tighten seemed very hard to get tight no I need to wait for back order. Is 5/8 to big for this machine its .025 thick
Look...I have broken that hinge 2 times. Cheap ...made from pot metal. But that is why the band saw is cheap. Replying to this because I ordered another hinge too. It broke this time on a 3/8 blade. It's just a weak link with this saw.
I have a BS14002 saw and need to raise the cutting throat from 6" to two more inches to rip saw 2 ft cedar logs 12 inches dia. Is there a piece to add to the back column?
It sounds like you need a riser block for your bandsaw. It will increase the capacity by 6" so you will be able to cut up to 12". The riser block is part #AC5005. You will also need longer blades with the riser block. The blade length will be 105". You can find the blades at the following link...
How do you get the top pulley off? A cast part, Number #823568, snapped off inside the top pulley housing. So far unable to find the replacement part, however I can't figure out how to take off the top pulley on my 14" band saw.
I am in need of a hand. I just bought a new Ridgid BS1400 band saw ,well while assembling the machine I noticed the "tire" was broken on the bottom drive wheel. I called Ridgid and a new "tire" is in the mail,at no cost to me. The tire is the rubber band that goes around the two pulleys or shives or what ever they are called. The help I need is there any special procedure to install one of these?
Any help would be welcome.
