    1 Removed the screws in the handle.
    2 Removed half of the handle casing.
    3 Loosened screws and removed old cord, keeping in mind the color wire to each screw.
    4 Reattached new cord, matching the color of the wires.
    5 Then reattached handle casing.

    cord insulation degraded pad was wore

    opened the switch housing, was disappointed the new cord didn't have the connectors installed but took the originals off and soldered them to the new cord. unscrewed the old pad and replaced with the new. very easy fix.

    1. remove 5-6 screws holding the cover
    2. removed the switch
    3. removed old cord
    4. replace cord
    5. reassembled

    Electric cord was failing at the strain-relief point. Outer rubber insulation had split open revealing the wiring inside.
