My 2600 Farmhand saw has broken or missing parts, it appears that there should be a grommet on the cover handle on the right side of the saw, as well as there is another mounting piece on the bottom of the cover handle. It appears to be a piece of wire from mounting screw to mounting screw. I was looking at a parts diagram wondering if these parts are all included with the cover handle?
Poulan 2600- how do I replace the fuel line and filter? The fuel line in the tank has broken and now it's just sucking air, unless the tank is filled to the brim.
The fuel hoses on my Poulan 260 Chain Saw broke up in several pieces inside and outside of the tank. I also purchased a new Walbro WT625 Carburetor for it. and new fuel lines. My problem is that I am not sure I connected the right hose to the right port on the Carburetor.
There are two line Sizes The Smaller diameter line Part Number 530069247 appears to be the Fuel Line. I placed it through the tank wall and installed a new filter on it It also connects to the Primer Bulb Pump and then over to the Carburetor.
One port is on the side of the carburetor with a cover containing 1 Phillips head screw which I think is the Fuel Pump. The other port is on the opposite side with a cover over the diaphragm held by 4 screws which is where I think the larger Tank Purge line Part No. 530069216 connects through the wall of the Fuel tank with no filter to the Carburetor.
I can start the Chain Saw on occasion and it will run for a few seconds. You can not choke it or use the Primer Bulb or it will not start.
Have I connected the hoses properly? Any suggestions on the problem.
I am having the exact same problem on a 2175LE. The fuel line went into pieces and fuel pick-up was rattling in-side tank and no fuel was getting to bulb.. How did you get the new fuel line into the tank hole at top of tank. Did you use medical hemmostats? where does the fuel line fitting go? in the tank? in the hole? or above the hole in the engine compartrment?
What stops the gas from coming through that hole at top of tank? the circumference of the line makes a tight seal or does the fuel line fitting w/ line attached jam into that hole from the tank?
It's a real bitch to get get to that hole from inside that tank.
Please help me. thanks , scottj

Hi Scott:
I followed the directions that came with the fuel lone from Replacement Parts.
It said to cut the line at a good angle (Making it quite pointed) and then to push it through the hole in the tank (which is a tight fit and seals its self.) I then pulled it on through until it reached outside of the tank with a pair of long nose pliers. The directions then said to cut it off square and install the fuel filter. I then tucked it back into the tank. On mine the fuel line then goes to the Priming/Choke bulb and then over to one of the ports on the Carb.
The other line which is actually a tank vent line installs the same way by cutting it off at a slant and pulling it through. It is a larger line on mine and again seals the hole.
