Question: Poulan 2375 Oil Vent

pbredder

I am wondering about the function of a 5-6 inch plastic tube that is in the oil chamber of the Wild Thing 2375. In my saw, it was just lying in the chamber loose. Should it be plugging the hole in the chamber that leads into one of the oil grooves for the guide bar/chain?

Hello joey2004,

Check out the following link. It is showing how to replace the starter on a lawn trimmer but it may help you with your chain saw.

Question: Fuel Line Routing With Carb

Jmack

Have determined input and output side of primer bulb. Now testing fuel line assembly to carb by connecting input line to one of the carb ports and a third fuel line to the other carb port. Submerged the end of both fuel lines in some 2-cycle fuel and depressed the primer bulb. Got no indication fuel was being drawn thru carb. Switched the fuel lines from one carb port to the other. No difference.

Question: Fuel Line

What is the line for purge carb and tank on a 2375 poulan chainsaw?

Bob

which line connects to the filter? The thin one or the thicker one?
Jmack
Reply: Fuel Line

Jmack

It is my understanding the thicker line would be the purge line and the filter line from the tank.

I'm having trouble finding out which one connects to which port on the carb. Appreciate any help you can give me.

Jmack

I'm sorry I did not check my wording on my first reply. It should read the thicker line would be the purge line and the thiner line would be the filter line from the tank.

Question: How To Replace Oil Pump PN 53007...

Thomas Heering

How do you remove the Clutch assembly that the Oil pump is behind on the Model Poulan 2375 Type 6 Gas Chainsaw? Where do I hold the shaft from turning?.. on the Pull cord side?

Thanks in Advance

Mark

From what I can tell you will likely need to take the saw to a repair shop to have the clutch removed. I don't see a screw, used to attach the clutch, listed on the parts diagram. If there is no screw then the clutch is threaded directly to the crankshaft and a special tool will be needed to remove the clutch. The tool fits onto an impact wrench and has arms that fit into the openings of the clutch.

To lock the shaft from spinning, first, remove the spark plug. Take a length of small string, like an old shoe lace, and drop it down inside of the hole for the spark plug. Be sure to leave enough string hanging out so that you can remove it later. The string will bind the piston. Now when you try to remove the clutch the shaft will not spin.

Good luck with your repair!

Take the side off with the pull cord. Use a wrench to hold the nut in the center of the flywheel. Use a spanner wrench to loosen the clutch. It is reverse threaded, so turn it to the right. The spanner I used was for an angle grinder I have. It happened to fit. You can get an adjustable spanner from most stores that sell tools, or borrow one from Autozone (they have tools to lend).

The nut is opposite thread. Try holding by taking the plug out and place a peace of hard wood in the plug hole to stop the piston from moving.
