Question: TOO MUCH PRESSURE

MY NS100A STAPLER WAS BEING USED WITHOUT REDUCING THE 150LB OF AIR PRESSURE. I REMOVED THE HEAD CAP AND SAW THAT THE CLEAR LOOKING O-RING HAD BEEN BLOWN OUT, BUT IT WAS STILL IN TACT. I PUT IT BACK IN PLACE AND THE GUN RELEASES AIR CONSTANTLY AND WILL NOT FIRE A STAPLE. DOES THAT O-RING JUST NEED TO BE REPLACED OR IS THERE MORE WRONG?
