What Parts are in the hardware kit?

Is there a special tool other than snap ring pliers to get the external snap ring off the spindle?
This is the gear that mates with the worm gear on the motor
drive that turns the back drive wheel on the saw.
oops!!!!! I've got a 725 type 3 porter cable portaband.

i have a model 725 porter cable band saw and i need a blade. i don't know whether i have a type 1 ,2, or 3. does it matter?

All versions of this tool take the same size blades. We have several blades that will fit this saw, which you can choose from based on your specific application. All the blades listed in the Accessories section of this page (just above this post) will fit your saw. You can also click "See more Band Saw Blades" for some more options.

Generally, that type number only comes into play when you're replacing the internals of a tool. They don't change the size of the blades between revisions.

Porta-band 525 worm gear

just purchased a used porta-band 525 band saw type 3 with a stripped worm gear. Can the worm and gear be changed through the oil fill plug opening? If not where do I begin?
