Can I just get the plastic drive gear?

Unfortunately the manufacture does not supply the plastic gear as a service item. The complete motor assembly, part number 90557035 would have to be ordered.

The driven belt pulley (gear) on the 90557035 Motor Assembly is made of metal.

The driving gear (pulley on the motor) is Aluminum
The driven gear is plastic and couples to the flexible drive shaft.

These gears are sized for a 15mm width belt. My unit was shipped with a 10mm belt.

I suspect this is an attempt to protect the flexible shaft which drives the string spool rotation. The unit has a strong motor driving a weaker drive train......
