Did not need the whole assy, but that was the only choice. So, the miter assy is a stand-alone part of the table saw, so no tools were need to use it.

Miter bar was missing

Since my miter channel is a U type. The bar came with a T type removable washer. I simply removed the screw that held in place. Works great.

Dropped and broke original mitre gauge.

Ordered the replacement miter gauge. Removed the old part and attached the new one.
