While recently using my friends Makita JR3000VT to disassemble my wood pool deck, the clamp assembly that holds the blade had come apart in pieces.
I was able to find the following parts on the ground. (referenced parts using the numbered diagram on this site) #1-clamp, #2-steel ball, #3-pin, #4-torx bolt, #7-push button, #8-compression spring. When I reassembled these, the spring and push button slid down the shaft. What am I missing?
According to my friend, he's had problems with the #4-torx bolt in the past.
I'd like to reassemble with all the parts necessary to get it up and working including replacing everything from #1 thru #8.(except maybe #1 & #7)
I took this saw to an authorized Makita service center, waited a week and they told me that it would cost over $80.00 in parts & labor to reassemble, and I should just consider purchasing a new one they have on sale.
My question: Do/Are #9-Ring and #10-Seal inside the housing or outside? Could these be the missing components causing blade clamp assembly to slide down the slider shaft?
It's really a good working saw and I'd like to salvage, but not for $80 bucks!
Thanks in advance.
