My Makita LXT impact driver is very shaky when I use it. I think something inside it is bent or out of alignment. I don't know if this is something I can fix or if I should send it to be fixed or get a new one
I'm a lefty and originally had a Panasonic Impact Driver that I could switch the Polarity of the switch so that the push/pull slide switch was not in the way holding it in my left hand and driving in a screw. ( reversed the wires to Armature) Is it possible with this impact driver?
Reverse the black and red wires on the back of the switch. That should work. The wires that are coming from the brush holder. I did it by accident once.
(Note from Ereplacementparts.com: Dave's suggestion will work great to reverse the polarity to the motor and therefore the direction of spin. Thanks Dave! Just be certain that you only reverse the leads from the switch to the motor. If you where to reverse the leads from the battery to the switch you will immediately destroy the switch when the battery is replaced.)
