brushes wore out,arcing
Remove 2 screws from end of housing. Remove end piece. With a small screwdriver pull the brush connectors up/loose. Then pry the retaining spring back and remove the worn brush and insert the new one. Repeat for both brushes. Reattach end housing. Will take less than 5 minutes.
