The felt Sander pad was replaced as it was badly worn. .
Unplug the sander and turn it upside down. Locate the 4 cross tip screws that hold down the sanding pad. Use a screwdriver that fits the screw heads very snugly as the screw heads are prone to strip out. After the screws are out, pull and wiggle the pad off of the hold down points. Observe how the two clamps that are used to hold on the sandpaper are positioned on the old pad. This is important as they need to be placed back on the new pad in the same location and manner. Press and wiggle the new pad onto the hold down point on the sander and tighten the 4 screws back into place. I would advise putting some lubricant such as WD-40 on the 4 screws before you put them back in place.
