Question: Field Assembly 115v

Hi there. I just received a new motor housing for my saw. I've got it almost entirely broken down but now I can't seem to figure out how to remove the field assembly 115v inside the old one to transfer it to the new one. I'm ready to have my saw back and would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Hi Cody,

The field is held in place by two screws, item #20 on the parts diagram. With the two screws removed you should be able to slide the field out of the housing. If it seems stuck you may have more issues. When a field fails it often becomes very hot. Many times the hot field will melt to the plastic housing. In some cases the housing must also be replaced.
