New Life!
I've had this Braun mixer for 27 years! It was a gift from my late husband, and therefore very sentimentally special to me. I make bread on a regular basis and was disappointed recently to notice a crack in the plastic near one of the metal dough handlers. I wondered how many more bread dough batches the attachment was going to be able to handle. Then I found Replacement Parts on line and ordered a new kneading attachment, hoping it really would fit. It did, and I'm back in business!! It's just a kneading attachment, but it meant so much to me to find it! I'm sure there are many more years of making homemade bread in my future . . . thank you, ReplacementParts!! (And one more thing I'd add . . . the adage "they just don't make 'em like they used to" could not apply more to today's mixers! A friend of mine bought a new, very expensive Kitchen Aid mixer, just to get a trendier color; there was nothing wrong with the one she'd had for 30 years. It only lasted a couple of months; thank goodness she held on to the old one . . . )
