Hello loser,

As I remember you can go to the Kawasaki web site and down load it from there. Or just call Kawasaki and they should be able to help you.

i think that solinoid is for your choke
unless you have a manual choke
the solinoid could also be part of the mass air flow system

I found my answer: the solenoid on the carb of a 23 hp kowasaki is for the fuel to be shut off to the carb, when electrical power is removed

I see they use swell plugs on this carburetor , is it worth pulling these out to disassemble and try cleaning or is the SOP to just replace the whole carburetor ?

Question: Dies After 15 Min

jeff

I am wondering what would cause my rider to shut off after it runs for about 15 min or when it gets up to operating temp.It cranks but nothing. I have to wait about 15 or so mins and then it will start back up again. Any ideas?

Check and make sure your ground cables are tight. The cables are under the heads of the bolts that hold the engine to the frame.

Question: Governor

carl

I replaced all the gaskets and seals in the engine because of a oil leak. after putting the engine back together and getting it started the throttle wants to increase on its own. Whats going on and is there a way to tune the governor so that it idles right?

Question: Starter Repair

Dennis

Can the starter on this engine be repaired without a full replacement starter?
I have a 19 HP Kawasaki FH-680V and have had extensive trouble with fouling spark plugs; this is due to dirty air filters, as the filters get dirty the enrichment of fuel causes excessive fuel to flood the carb, in turn fouling the plugs.
I would like to know if anyone has refitted there engine with a canister type? I am being told that I would have to replace the entire carb and adapter plate. Does anyone know if there is a retro fit for this engine? Thanks, Frank

On my 23 hp. I found out there are 2 different part #s for the air filter--one is for the carb. that has a fuel solenoid on it and a different one for the carb. without the solenoid. If I get the wrong one the engine really runs bad; it drove me crazy till I found that out.

Question: Fh680v Kawasaki

John

What is the proper gap for the coil?
Paul Cantin
Reply: Fh680v Kawasaki

Paul Cantin

I've been told it should be .010 to .014 and use a non metallic feeler gage such as a piece of plastic between those dimensions. I recently replaced the right coil and it now runs fine.
