Question: Type Of Oil

Eric

What type of oil do you recommend for a Kawasaki engine fb460v on a mower in Iowa?
I have a FB460V MS-14, I have it all apart, but I need to know which way do the rods for the balance weight go on the shaft? (I have a full circle for one side and a slot on the other) Your PIC show that they both are going upward with the slots. Is this the right way or are they to be put with the slot side inwards to the piston rod for both sides? Or any other way? thank you, Bob

Question: Oil Level

tim

How much oil does this engine require after I've drained it all?
Mark
Reply: Oil Level

Mark

Hi Tim,

The crankcase will hold about 1.5qts. With a filter change about 1.9qts. Always use the dipstick to determine the final oil level. When taking a reading from the dipstick make sure that it is UNSCREWED. Just let the threads of the dipstick rest on the top of the filler when you take the reading.

I hope this helps!

Question: Valve Seat

902069

The intake valve seat has came loose in this engine. It fits loosely in the block. What would be the best way to fix this without replacing the block ?
