Discussion for the Hitachi EC119SA Twin-Stack Air Compressor
My Hitachi EC 119SA does something very strange. When I turn it on the motor starts to turn and chug very slowly. It will do this for 10-15 seconds and then stop. I then push the Thermal protector button and try to restart. I go through this 5-8 times before it gets up enough speed to kick into full motor speed. Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong? Is it a defective Thermal Protector?
I have one that does the exact same thing. I tried the asking questions on google. Someone replied to me saying the capacitor is weak. It makes sense to me but I have not changed it. I have just kept on tinkering with it until it starts. After the initial pain of getting it started its an amazing little machine.
After coming home from an out of town trip, I've discovered the Regulator Selector knob missing and I found 1 spring. What parts do I need to order in order to replace this knob?
i have a relatively new 2.5 hp hatachi ec119sa. it will produce only about 30 lbs. of pressure. It will hold pressure, but shows no sign of shutting down, regardless of the tank pressure setting. Any helpfull ideas would be appreciated
I haven't used that compressor before but it looks like it should work out great! Just change the oil and air filter on it regularly and it should last for years.
