Followed your you tube video. Clean ALL old lubrication out from everywhere so it does not remain in the unit to drip. Really polish up all gears to be free of old grease. Use denatured alcohol, Q-Tips and paper towels. Reassembly a breeze. Just follow the excellent video. Replacement grease will be as dark as original...not the cream color that appears in the video...this is OK.

I picked a how-to repair your mixer clip on Utube that was sponsored by Ereplacementparts.com, by chance. The video was very precise and easy to understand. Afterward I completely disassembled the planetary and removed the contaminated grease. I removed and lubricated the lower unit, then installed it and the new worm follower gear along with the reuseable parts. I then greased the upper planetary and reassembled the mixer. Thank you for your fast delivery of parts and easy to follow instructions.

I followed the directions on your site, but my mixer has the stationary head and the instructions are for the tilt head model, so I had to improvise. In retrospect I think this model is easier to repair because the head can be removed at the outset. The lengthiest part was removing all of the old grease. I used an old toothbrush to remove it from the gear teeth. No more leaking oil! Made 6 batches of cookies today.
