Needed to collect shavings better
Dust Collector includes installation instructions with it. But you probably won't need them, very simple to do. Dust collector works great, now the shavings are in the shop vacuum instead of all over the shop.

never had dust collection aattachment when I got the planer (bought it used)
Extremely easy install...place the hood in its location,install 3 mounting screws and your done. A 10 year old could do it

Missing dust chute
Installed two of the three screws supplied. All are quite difficult to install. I found a modification that allows me to easily take on and take off the dust chute.

I bought a used planer and it did not have a dust hood.
It was very easy. I installed the hood with the 3 screws that came with the part and everything lined up perfectly.
