Discussion for the Dremel 400 XPR Variable Speed Rotary Tool
I've been working my Dremel quite hard and I'm suspicious that the motor might be on its way out. When it's running at the highest rpm setting there are slight hesitations which weren't there before I was working the tool hard. Could this be something more than worn brushes? Any thoughts?
The motor runs but the chuck won't run. There must be a coupling stripped that drives the tool. Can I replace that coupling? Or do I have to send it in?
Collet lock failed almost immediately, feels like cheap parts in there. Great tool and accessories, but after I fix it I am only going to use the accessories that can be hand tightened, not burrs or bits.
Fantastic improvements over the years. I have one of the original Dremel tools dating back to the '50's. This is really a complete small shop in a small box. If you do craft or hobby or wood work of any kind I recommend buying one.
