Switch failure
Carefully split case and remove switch. Install new switch and replacement of 2610006477 carbon brushes paying close attention to configuration of electrical contacts and associated wiring. Gently and patiently reassemble case.

After 20 + years of use the flex coupling broke.
Open the case, took picture of the interior assembly, remove broken part, clean out all broken parts. reassemble. compared finished assemble machine with picture. closed case. plugged in and tested. finished ran like new.
