Question: Collet Nut

straydog1024

will this replacement fit my dremel 275?

Reply: Collet Nut

WJA

Hello straydog1024,

The model 275 has the the same armature as a model 395. Which means the shaft is the same size and thread. It's my thought that the 2615297355 is a match.

Question: A Part Name Please

shantimayi

I need the part that screws tightly holding the accessory in place...such as the drill or the sanding wheel...I need one or two and can not find out what they are. I looked at the diagrams and the number often is 19...but that is the only information I can find to locate the part. Also, I am in India...do you send parts so far away? Thank You
Is it a collet?

Question: Non Function Of Tool

Paul R Mark

My 275 type 5 Dremel single speed tool does not function when one turns the switch on. What gives? Do the brushes need to be replaced for it to function? The switch seems to be OK. It is dead now -- nothing. Any suggestions?

Question: Drive Bushing

Harvey

I have a Model 275, Type 3 and the plastic drive connection between the motor and the drive shaft
has been sheared. I cannot find the part on the exploded view and cannot order the replacement if I don't have the part number. The part has an internal set of splines. Help !

The sleeve is part of the armature assembly. I used a piece of clear plastic tubing that was a snug fit and a little super-glue. Has been working for over 2 yrs.

I have had the same problem with two tools. These little drive collars don't seem to be available anywhere. Makes me want to run right out out and buy another Dremel product. How about you?

Question: Dremel Quit

Billy Simpson

I have a Dremel Mod. # 275 Type 5 30,000 rpm. I was in process of using when it began to get warm. There was no racket but it just stopped. I have extra brushes but replacing them didn't work. It seemed as if it was unplugged. I plugged it to a different receptical and still no power.

Mine did the same thing after about 2 years of "normal" use. I bought a replacement (a whole new tool), and it did the same thing after 6 months. I too changed the brushes but could not get either to work again. I really don't have an answer for you just wanted you to know your not alone... kinda makes me glad my units retail for about $30.00 and not those at $110.00. Pretty much convinced since Bosch bought out the Dremel company that the quality is not the same.

I've had mine longer than 2 yrs but it's had very little use. It also showed signs of "heating up" but not enough to be alarming, & just quit. I found that by putting pressure on the blue plastic button on the side [I thought it might be a reset button] that it would run again but quit as soon as the pressure was released. Curious, huh? Unless somebody can tell me how to fix it, it's toast. I'd rather pay more $ & have one that would last longer. I've had a 2 speed a lot longer & used a lot more that still works like a charm.

Question: Shear Pin ?

Charlie

Is there a shear pin that locks the spindle to the armature shaft? Can it be replaced?

Reply: Shear Pin ?

Pete

I have the same problem. All the blueprints for the model 275 show no shaft lock. Mine has one and the words "type 3" follow the model number. The shear pin seems to be there to make up for the longer body that holds the shaft lock feature.

I have a Craftsman P/N 572-610031 tool grinder made for Sears by Dremel.
Will E-Parts, replacement switch # 2610912780 work in my Identical Craftsman grinder ?
In short is there parts cross reference list somewhere ??
