Question: Won't Start

my dg4300 won't start unless you spray a little gas in carb has been setting up and not started what I need to do

I just replaced the voltage selector switch that had fallen apart, and it works fine. But I checked the voltage output with the generator running at full speed and only got 84 volts at the receptical. What could cause this?

I recently purchase a used DeWalt 4300 generator but the chock has to be on for it to start and continue running. Could someone recommend a repair to resolve this problem?

Hey Dwight,
I'm not really a gas powered guy..but my own experience is to make sure you have new gas..first and foremost..a clean and not clogged air link removed there you would focus on adjustments on the carb..[if it has sat for a long time there is a chance that the gas in the carb has varnished up over time and will need to be cleaned or replaced]
