Question: Different Chucks
I need to replace my chuck on myv dcd970 type hammer drill. I ordered the proper chuck from parts list. I received the chuck. It did not have a set screw. Please explain.

Hammer drills are seldom used in reverse. When using a hammer drill, the constant hammering and torque tighten the chuck on the spindle tight enough that a chuck screw is not necessary.
