In cold weather my compressor don't turn off stay on for a long period

Hello Luis, thank you for your question. Staying on typically is a problem with the pressure switch. Or, if the pressure in the tank never gets to the normal cut out, and the compressor runs and runs, then that typically points to the Pump N099921SV being the problem.

Air leaking around regulator bonnet

I just did a regulator rebuild on my compressor now when I turn it on it builds tank pressure all the way to 260 and shuts off when I believe it should stop at 200psi. Also when an air tool is connected like an nail gun it is fine with the first shot but then loses pressure during repeated shots and cannot drive nails. I must wait and shoot again. Any ideas what I should change or try next?

Hi Juan, Thank you for your question. If your compressor does not stop at the recommended level, you will need to check the pump to see if it is running correctly. You should also check the air filter to see if it is clogged or dirty. If it is replace it. Check the air compressor for leaks. Check the valves, seals and the gaskets to see if they are worn. If they are, the compressor may leak. If the belt is worn or showing signs of damage, it will need to be replaced. How to replace the belt? Do I unbolt the piston connecting rod? Also where can I find a diagram of how the belt goes on. I.e. big pulley to idler to, etc. ?

Hi Larry, Thank you for writing. You will need to remove plastic side cover for the motor. You can lay the compressor down in the side and you can see 3 pulleys. Next remove the bolt on the large pulley that drives the piston. You can remove the old belt now if needed. With the grooves of the belt facing inward wrap around biggest pulley, pull both sides of the belt up on top of the middle pulley and wrap around the top pulley. We hope this helps!
